A. We are open 9 am to 9:30 pm seven days a week. We are closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Q. What time is Check In?
A. Check-in times are from 3 pm - 9 pm. Q. What time is Check Out?
A. Check-out is by 11 am. Q. What is the difference between a Cabin and Chalet?
A. The difference between what is a cabin and what is a chalet In the Smoky Mountains is strictly the exterior and interior design and materials. Cabins and Log Cabins in the Smoky Mountains have wooden exteriors and wood faced or wood panel walls, and will also most likely have hardwood floors and wooden ceilings - especially on the top floor. Often the log cabin will have rounded wood on the exterior and sometimes the interior of the cabin. Chalets in the Smoky Mountains may have siding, brick, stone or wood sided exteriors but the inside of the chalet usually has painted or wallpapered walls, and ceilings in chalets are usually not made of wood but plaster. Cabins and chalets are equal in comfort and usually have the same basic amenities so when you choose between renting a cabin or chalet your choice is mostly based upon esthetics and what units are available when you want to come to the Smoky Mountains. Q. What forms of payment can I use on my American Mountain Rentals cabin rental?
A. We accept cash, money orders, traveler's checks, or Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards. Personal checks are not accepted at check-in Q. I have purchased travel insurance and have a roadside, medical or other emergency assistance - what do I do?

A. Please review our Cancellation Policy by clicking here Q. How old must I be to rent a Cabin or Chalet?
A. You must be at least 21 years old to rent a 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom cabin or chalet and at least 25 years old to rent a 4 bedroom and larger vacation home rental in the Smokies. Q. Does American Mountain Rentals allow pets?
A. Pets are welcome ONLY IN SELECTED CABINS AND CHALETS that are pet friendly. Please be sure and let us know before you make your reservation if you will be bringing your pet along. Please read our pet policy in cabin rentals. Q. Is there a minimum number of nights required when renting a cabin or chalet from American Mountain Rentals?
A. Yes, there is a minimum of required nights depending on the time of year. Please refer to our Reservations Policies by clicking here. In order to qualify for our Extended Stay Cabin Rental Special Discount you may be required to stay at least 5 or 7 days depending on the cabin or chalet you rent. Q. How many seasonal rates do you have and is there an extra charge for staying on a weekend?
A. There is no extra charge for staying over on weekends and there are 3 active seasons, "Off Season", "In Season" and "Peak Season" (See our Cabin rental Season Chart). Q. Are cabin rentals more expensive during holidays? What are the holiday dates?
A. Some holidays may cost more when renting a cabin and in some cases discounts do not apply during holiday dates which may vary year to year. See our Cabin Rental Holiday Dates Chart and each cabins rate chart for more information.
