After you soak-in the feel of an era gone by, why not actually soak in the modern day Hot Tub? Screened and completely enclosed, this Hot Tub is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the quietness of the nature surrounding you. Strands of miniature lights softly illuminate a dark evening. You will find a Queen Size bed tucked in the corner, adjacent to the living room. The ivory colored quilt with a crocheted double wedding ring pattern is striking against the dark brown log walls. A full bath which has an original claw foot tub with shower, commode and white pedestal sink is close by. A washer and dryer are close by.
To create a romantic private feeling, the attractive tab top muslin drapes are designed to enclose just the bed or the bed and bathroom. There is room for everyone to gather in the main living area where you will find comfortable furniture placed in a cozy arrangement around the wood burning fireplace and TV. The fireplace is open for use from October through March and the firewood is provided for you. Watch your favorite program on TV with Cable service or bring a few DVDs for movie night. The Secret Falls cabins loft has 2 sleeping areas, a full bathroom, great Pool Table and very comfortable Berber carpeting completes the area. Anytime is a great time to enjoy a game of pool, but especially a rainy day. Gather in the loft, rack the balls and choose a cue stick. You will have hours of fun and the sun will be shining in no time as the locals say if you don't like the weather in the Smokies just wait a few minutes. You can also enjoy watching the living room TV downstairs while playing pool in the loft but watch out for the black bear climbing the pole! Adjacent to the Pool Table is a sleeping area with a Queen Size bed where a wooden screen creates a bit of old-world charm and privacy. Girls of all ages will adore the delightful bedroom over the kitchen. There's room for 3 with a Queen Size bed on one side of the room and a single bed next to a log railing overlooking the breakfast nook. White wicker, soft white spreads and ivy patterns make this room light and airy and the small white desk and chair make a perfect dressing table. The eaves are glass panels covered with attractive lace allowing light to flood the room and still have a sense of privacy. Have you ever pulled the chain on the tank on the wall to flush a commode? You will in both bathrooms at Secret Falls - old but dependable plumbing! The upstairs bathroom, another addition, has a roomy shower with a corner seat, and a vanity that is actually an antique dresser with a sink. Some might want to gather downstairs around the shaker style dining table, complete with wooden pegs, to play games while others are watching TV. Since it is open to the living room, everyone can still converse. This is such a cozy and inviting area with the 6 wooden chairs and a replica of an oil-burning chandelier above. The kitchen and breakfast nook were built onto the original log cabin years ago, run the depth of the cabin. Everything blends so well, you won't realize this is an addition until you notice the original logs and white chinking. In the Secret Falls cabin you will find all of the modern day appliances you could need including a dishwasher and microwave. Attractive glass doors on the upper cabinets make it easy to find dishes for setting the table and ample cookware is stored below. At first glance, you might think of trying the percolator near the sink, but look again, it is actually an adorable lamp! Relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the cascading water from the large windows in the breakfast nook or catch the morning news on the TV in the corner of the room. Most who stay here prefer to "watch" the great view! There's even a full glass door from the breakfast room that opens onto the front porch where you can relax in a rocker or in one of the wooden chairs. Take some time out here to sit and listen to the soothing sound of the rushing water of the mountain stream. The porch even has overhead fans while will provide additional comfort on a warm day. Next to the huge stone chimney on the side of the deck is a charcoal grill and down a couple of steps you will find a little wooden deck with just enough room for the 2 Adirondack style chairs and footstools. What a perfect spot for an afternoon with a good book! The Secret Falls log cabin seems so far removed from the rest of the world, but it is actually really very close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so plan a day in the Smokies filled with fun excitement.
