High above Gatlinburg Tennessee you will find the Mountain Memories log cabin rental located in The Chalet Village Community off of Ski Mountain Road. With 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a sleeper sofa, great views, lots of room and great amenities, Mountain Memories is perfect for a large family, several couples or just friends gathering in the Great Smoky Mountains for vacation.
There is a game room with a Pool Table, 2 decks, a Hot Tub, Fireplace and Awesome Views - this spacious log cabin has it all and you will soon be making your own Mountain Memories that will last a lifetime.
Mountain Memories has 3 bedrooms on the main level where the Master King Size Bedroom has a private bath with a shower and tub enclosure. The 2 Queen Size Bedrooms on this floor share another full bath with a shower and tub enclosure. These 3 bedrooms all have attractive rustic log beds and comfortable Berber carpet.
Everyone can have hours of fun without ever leaving the cabin. You might have to draw straws to see who gets the Hot Tub first. Located on the upper deck, the relaxing Hot Tub has wonderful views of the wooded hillsides, the valley below and the Smoky Mountains in the distance. On clear days, you can literally see for miles and miles and in the evening enjoy the sparkling lights around the mountainside.
When your time is up relaxing in the Hot Tub, you can trade places with others who are downstairs in the Game Room. This roomy lower level has a great pool table, plenty of seating and several windows keep this room light and pleasant.
Sink into the comfy leather sofa or grab the oversized wingback chair decorated with moose, bear and deer and watch the action at the Pool Table. If you are visiting Mountain Memories over the weekend and Tennessee's Lady Vols are playing, sit tight, you are already in the perfect place to watch the tip-off on the Game Room's TV.
Adjacent to the Pool Table, the wooden table and chairs is the perfect place for board games or grabbing a bite to eat during half time. The double set of French doors lead to the lower deck where you will find chairs to relax in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the sound of the trickling stream below. Wave to the tram cars as they pass overhead carrying visitors up the mountain to the Ober Gatlinburg Ski area.
The Mountain Memories cabins 4th Bedroom is on the other end of this level and it has a King Size Bed and private Full Bath with a tub and shower enclosure. Berber carpet keeps this room warm and cozy and you will find a utility room with a washer and dryer that you can use conveniently located close by.
There is a large eye-catching wood burning fireplace in the upstairs living room with a nice hearth, beautiful stonework and a rustic wood mantle. Wood is for the fireplace is provided from October through March.
Next to the fireplace is a corner cabinet with a 27" TV and DVD. While the guys are downstairs watching the game, the gals can gather upstairs on the sofa and loveseat for a movie or check the Charter Cable channel guide listings on channel 17 for your favorite program.
Someone in the family might enjoy just relaxing in the comfy chair on other side of the room with a good book. Whatever you choose to do, I think you will agree the appointments in here such as the cathedral ceiling with attractive woods beams, stylish iron chandelier with pinecone accents and 6 large glass globes, black iron table lamps with charming bears, rich amber colored shades and matching black trim complete this pleasant room.
There are 2 sets of French doors from the living room to the deck allowing wonderful light to bathe the living room and give easy access to the Hot Tub and rocking chairs on the upper deck.
The 18 foot galley kitchen has everything you will need for meal prep and clean up including a microwave and dishwasher. The long narrow counter top on the other side of the appliances makes a great serving buffet or extra prep space. The adjacent dining room has a nice wooded view through the large picture window and has seating for 6 at the oak table and chairs.
Just outside the kitchen door there is a nice patio set and a charcoal grill and if you prefer to cook and dine outdoors.
Speaking of dining out you should try some of Gatlinburg's fine restaurants such as Calhoun's, Burning Bush, Cherokee Grill or the Hofbrauhaus Restaurant all located on the downtown Parkway.
After dinner you may want to walk around town to work off desert and enjoy the unique shops in the Village before driving back to Mountain Memories. Gatlinburg is very pedestrian friendly with crosswalks everywhere and pedestrians have the right of way.
At the Mountain Memories rental cabin, you can go swimming at any one of the 3 Clubhouses with Conference and Wedding Reception Facilities plus use the playgrounds or play tennis.
