A Happy Bear is a 2-bedroom log cabin for rent that is located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Wears Valley, just minutes from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Townsend. This delightful log cabin will comfortably accommodate up to five people and it is a great vacation rental for either a family vacation or a couple's getaway.

Just before entering A Happy Bear cabin, you will pass by the charcoal grill you can use for a cookout where you can grill some delicious steaks, chicken and veggies.

You will enter the A Happy Bear cabin through a small sitting room that has a rattan loveseat and a matching table. This would be a great place to relax on your vacation, sit, and read a good book. What a great spot to enjoy on a rainy day!

In the cabin just past the sitting room, is the great room which is illumined by skylights and encompasses the living room, dining area and kitchen. Here behind folding doors you will find the washer and dryer you can use if you want.

The fully equipped kitchen features chrome and black appliances with a toaster, coffeemaker, blender, and microwave which will help you prepare a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A metal bistro table with 2 chairs is perfect for sharing that first cup of coffee and conversation with a friend.

The living area features a sectional sofa where your group can gather and watch the big game or your favorite program on the large flat screen TV with a DVD player and Comcast cable service. This is also a great place to gather in the cabin to make plans for your next day in the Smokies. A rock fireplace adds warmth and an ambient glow to the room during cooler months.

The dining table which seats 4, sits in front of windows that allow a view of the surrounding country side and the Walden's Creek Riding Stables. What a great place to converse and share your meals!

Next to the great room is one of the cabins two bedrooms, which feature a queen size bed and a TV. There are 2 bathrooms on this floor one of which has a tub/shower.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and a TV along with a walk-in closet. The private master bathroom has a jetted tub with a showerhead.

Just off the dining area is a small room that has a futon along with privacy creating nice sleeping quarters for someone in your party. From this room, you can exit to a deck where you may want to sit on the park style bench in the evenings and enjoy the majesty and wonder of the surrounding countryside.

From the upper deck, you have steps that lead to the lower deck and the game room. The lower deck features a patio table with four chairs, 2 rockers, a porch swing, and a hot tub. Here you can have a picnic, rock your cares away, swing to your hearts content or slip into the bubbling waters of the hot tub. Now this is a vacation made in heaven!

If that is not enough, you can entertain yourself in the game room. This level of the Happy Bear Cabin has a bathroom with a walk-in shower. One of the rooms has game table that converts from a bumper pool game to a card table. You also have a foosball table. So who's is up for a game?

Although, there is lots of action and excitement here at the cabin, you may want to visit some of the Smoky Mountains many attractions. A visit to Sevier County would not be complete without a trip into the mountains. From A Happy Bear, you are off a road that avoids the traffic of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to get take you a back way to the Townsend entrance of the National Park.

From either Metcalf Bottoms or the Townsend entrance, you can enter the western corner of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to a secluded cove known as Cades Cove. The 11-mile one-way loop around the Cove takes you back in time in a nature's paradise and a historical museum to the mid-1800's when life was simpler but ruled by the rigors of a self-sufficient lifestyle.

Pigeon Forge is a short distance away and is home to Dollywood, which has more than 40 rides, and attractions as well as Dolly's Splash Country which is 35 acres of wave pools, adventure slides, a lazy river, and leisure pool.
