The convenient location of the Family Gathering cabin in Pigeon Forge Tennessee puts you close to all of the activities the Great Smoky Mountain area has to offer as this cabin is nestled in a valley less than 2 miles from the north end of the "Spur". That's what locals call the connecting road that runs approximate 5 miles between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and is also a short cut into the Great Smoky Mountains national park.

The space and layout of this cabin makes it wonderful for everyone to gather in one area or break off in smaller groups for separate activities. What ever you do everyone will have fun in the family friendly environment.

The kids will love the 32' x 24' game room at the far end of the cabin. Choose your partner because doubles can play for hours at this full size Ping Pong Table. The Foosball and Air Hockey games have plenty of room around them so it's easy for onlookers to watch and cheer on their favorite player. If you get tired and need to rest, have a seat on the comfy sofa and catch your breathe. A couple of folding tables in the game room are ideal for snacks or playing board games.

While the kids are busy in the game room, you can play a game of your own in the main living area. On one side of the room, you will find the Pool Table ready for the balls to be racked and cue tips chalked. The stained glass Billiards light hanging over the table sets the mood and the 2 tall bar style chairs against the wall are great seats for observers.

After a few games of pool, get ready to relax in the living room. The matching leather sofa, loveseat and recliner provide comfortable seating. The stylish entertainment center that spans the living room wall holds a 35" TV plus a DVD and VCR player. You might have to wake Dad when the movie is over if he chose to relax in the comfy plush rocker recliner.

The warm honey colored pine walls and ceilings are nicely finished and compliment the striking light fixtures and deep green carpeting in the living area and bedrooms. Ceramic tile in attractive earth tones run throughout the kitchen, hallway and both bathrooms.

The eat-in kitchen is open to the main living area and has beautiful black and stainless steel appliances throughout. You will appreciate the convenience of a water and ice dispenser on the side-by-side refrigerator and meals are snap with the smooth cook-top electric range, built-in microwave and dishwasher.

A stylish chandelier with twisted arms like tree branches hangs above the large square table with 8 chairs. Behind the folding doors in the kitchen you will find a Stacked Washer and Dryer and iron and ironing board.

This cabin is also furnished with a high chair and a child's pine rocker complete with a cute red cushion! There really is something for everyone here in the Family Gathering cabin rental!

When you finally get the kids settled down and in bed, it's time for you to slip into the tastefully decorated Master Bedroom. The King Size bed, Full Bath and Jacuzzi are what make this room special. The dark wood and black iron scrollwork on the bed and nightstand compliment the oil rubbed bronze accessories.

Your private bathroom has an ample 42" vanity and the roomy shower enclosure is complete with a seat in the corner for your comfort. The burgundy shower and window curtains brighten the room and the shower hooks with fish, pinecones, coyotes and bears add a delightful bit of whimsy.

Before bed, you might want to take a relaxing soak in your private Jacuzzi in the corner. If you grab the remote located at the top of the doorpost, you won't have to get out of bed to control the ceiling fan or turn off the light above the bed. And don't forget the remote to the TV inside the entertainment center at the foot of the bed. Ahhh...what luxury!

Another bedroom in the cabin has a Queen Size bed with a stylish pine headboard and footboard as well as 2 nightstands. A 24" TV sits to the side of a large mirror on the matching dresser located at the foot of the bed and the overhead fan and light in this room is also remote controlled.

Kids will love the bunk beds in the other 2 bedrooms. In one room, you will find 2 heavy metal bunk beds with double beds on the bottom and a single bed on top. The other room has 1 bunk bed with a single size bed both upper and lower and 1 separate queen size bed.

Before sleep, they will have fun telling stories, giggling, and talking about the day… just like at camp. You might even hear them planning a day of fun at the Dollywood, Dolly Parton's Great Smoky Mountain Family Amusement Park.

There is plenty of room to roam outside too. Explore the small stream that runs along the property or get the gang together for a game of tag football in the large grassy yard. You will also find a Charcoal grill for cookouts plus a decorative fire ring under an outdoor shelter where you can roast hot dogs the old fashioned way or toast marshmallows for Smores. There is so much to see and do right here.
