Eagles Nest is a 3 Bedroom, 2 bath log cabin in the Cove Mountain/Wears Valley area just 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge. This secluded Smoky Mountains cabin has lots of privacy, a Hot Tub, Fireplace, TV, DVD, VCR, Air Hockey, Washer/Dryer and outdoor Fire Pit.
Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains the Eagles Nest cabin rental is very private making it a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, but still close enough to enjoy all the restaurants and attractions that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer.
You will enjoy the seclusion and surrounding wildlife as you relax on the large front porch. Watch a flock of wild turkey walk across the front yard and disappear into the trees or the squirrels and chipmunks scurry back and forth while an occasional salamander climbs the woodpile.
Inside the Eagles Nest log cabin rental everyone can "do their own thing" and still be together in the large living area.
The weather is of no concern when it comes to the Hot Tub. Located in an enclosed room just off the kitchen, you can enjoy the warm bubbling water anytime of the day or night.
On a cool day, relax on the sofa or loveseat in front of a crackling fire. A personalized wood mantle, decorated with eagles, runs the length of the stack stone fireplace and a framed picture of a soaring eagle hangs above. As the warm air from the fireplace rises to the cathedral ceiling, just turn the 2 ceiling fans on low. The wood burning fireplace in Eagles Nest is open for use from October through March with wood provided.
Find your favorite show on satellite brought to you by Direct TV or bring your own DVDs or tapes and don't forget the popcorn! The TV is in a corner of the room and large enough to view from the kitchen and open loft.
The Air Hockey table which is located in the loft at the top of the stairs will entertain the kids and adults alike. Kids always like to challenge Mom and Dad, so make it a fun family time. After the game, Mom and Dad can stay upstairs for a good nights sleep in the Master Bedroom, while the kids scamper downstairs to their own beds.
In the private Master Bedroom, you will find ample room for clothes and suitcases in the large closet behind beautiful wooden sliding doors. Turn ceiling the fan on low and lie back while you catch the late night news, or watch a DVD on your TV from the Queen Size bed. Wake refreshed in the morning and shower in the Master Bath before going downstairs for breakfast.
Both bedrooms downstairs have Queen Size beds, large closets, ceiling fans and share a full bath.
Breakfast is a cinch on the built in Whirlpool combination grill and smooth cook-top range with downdraft vent. This large kitchen is fully equipped including a built-in wall oven, microwave and dishwasher for easy cleanup. You will also find a washer and dryer located in the utility room adjacent to the kitchen.
With 4 stools placed at the island and a large oak table and chairs, you will find plenty of seating inside, but if dining out is your pleasure, take your plate and have a seat at the patio table and chairs on the front porch where you will also find the charcoal grill.
As sunset nears grab the marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey bars and head for the very private side yard where you will find a fire pit and bench, perfect place to spend an evening and plan the next day's activities.
Special things to do while in the Smokies might include a day of shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Pigeon Forge, a fish dinner at Huck Finns Restaurant or Pop's Catfish Shack and a fun-filled night at the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge.
It's fun to explore downtown Gatlinburg where you will find many of Ripley's attractions including the Believe It Or Not Museum, Haunted Adventure, Moving Theater 4-D, Davy Crockett Mini-Golf, plus the world famous Aquarium. Gatlinburg is also one of the entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains national park.
Whatever your age or pleasure, you will find plenty to do while visiting The Great Smoky Mountains.
