A Smoky Retreat is a 2 bedroom log cabin for rent in the Wears Valley area of Pigeon Forge tucked away in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This delightful cabin will conformably hold 8 people and has pool access in the warm months in a rustic mountain community setting and is perfect for small families or couples.
From the road, 3 steps will land you on the gang plank that leads to the front porch. The hot tub is warm and clean - ready for you to slip into the bubbling waters and relax from your trip into Pigeon Forge. But before you do, your first priority should be to check out your accommodations before you jump into your swimsuit.
Entrance to the cabin is through the kitchen. Here a dining table seats 4 comfortably and your fully equipped kitchen has all the conveniences of home such as blender, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. You will be able to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner here in the cabin if you like. What a way to cut corners on your vacation budget!

Just inside the entrance to the cabin is a bathroom which opens into a bedroom with a king size bed. The furniture is heavy log and in the corner of the bedroom is a Jacuzzi tub which will be a blissful way to relax and let the cares of life pass you by. Just imagine a long, hot soak before you retire for the night. You'll sleep like one of the Smoky Mountains black bears in the log bed!
Located in the closet are a washer and dryer just in case you run out of clothes or want to wash your favorite outfit. You may even want to slip out to one of the many outlet malls to purchase a new outfit.
The living room has a comfy sofa which converts into a bed and a chair where you can sit and plan for the next day's activities. If you like to catch up on the news or watch your favorite TV program, there is a TV with cable and a DVD player.
You may want to simply enjoy the flickering flames of the gas fireplace in the living room. The fireplace features a beautiful ornate mantle and the oak wood floors, log walls, and exposed beam ceiling are beautifully accented by the dark furniture.
You will find the second bedroom on the second floor. This bedroom has a comfortable king size log bed, log furniture and a TV. The bathroom on this level has a tub with shower.
The loft overlooks the living room and has a sitting area with a sleeper sofa and a foosball table for the competitive members in your party. There is even an Xbox game system up here! Listen to music on the stereo while playing a robust game. This could be a great place to steal away and enjoy some quiet time while regenerating for the next day of adventures.
From the living room, you have access to the back deck which has a gas grill. Can't you just imagine grilling steaks or chicken for an old fashion cookout? You may want to simply sit and rock in the rocking chairs while enjoying the serenity and peace of the Smoky Mountains.
You may never want to leave this delightful cabin, but the area has activities galore to enjoy. There are dinner theaters such as Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction, Black Bear Jamboree Dinner and Show, or Blackwood's Morning Variety Show.
Pigeon Forge has a selection of fine restaurants such as Alamo Steakhouse, Old Mill Restaurant, and Old Mill Pottery House Café & Grill. Just minutes away in Gatlinburg, you have places to dine such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, Feeding Frenzy, and the world famous Hard Rock Café.
Plan a day to picnic in the Smokies. A visit would not be complete without a trip to the outdoor living historical museum of Cades Cove. As you drive the 11-mile one way loop around the Cove, you are taken back in time to the mid-1800's. Black bears and deer abound in the Cove.
