This delightful cabin for rent in the Smokies has an awesome view and it will hold up to 6 people. It is a great vacation home for honeymooners, couples or small families, but if you need accommodations for more than six people, 2 other cabins for rent are within walking distance: Hemlock Hideaway and Wildflower Retreat which both sleep up to 6.

A gentle breeze stirs as you get out of your vehicle and you hear the calming, tinkling sounds of wind chimes. Time to relax as your vacation at A Place to Remember is just beginning so walk up the four steps to the covered porch to enter the kitchen.

Your first glimpse of the A Place to Remember log cabin is of light oak cabinets, exposed ceiling beams, hardwood floors, and tongue and groove walls. Green counter tops blend with green foliage around the tops of the cabinets to give a fresh and wholesome outdoorsy feel.

The fully equipped kitchen will make it light work of meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, or dinner easy while saving you precious time and money while cleanup is a breeze with the dishwasher. Serve your feasts on the rustic wooden table with 4 chairs and a bench.

The living area of A Place to Remember has a sofa which converts into a bed and comfy oversize chair that seems to mold to your body. Seven foot windows allow the beautiful Gatlinburg mountain scenery into the cabin.

Sink in the living room and enjoy the great view while letting the cares of life slip away. The stacked stone fireplace adds warmth and character to the room. Just in case you want to catch the weather forecast or watch your favorite program, turn on the TV. Ah, life is good!

From the living area, you can exit to the deck to so you can gaze upon the spectacular view. The rockers on the back deck make a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or a tall glass of tea in the evening. You may want to enjoy some of your meals alfresco.

Relax in the bubbling waters of the hot tub. Soak those tired muscles from a day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or skiing at Ober Gatlinburg while you are soaking in the beautiful view. This is luxury!

The bedroom features a king size log bed, just right for a good night of sleep to rest from a day enjoying Dollywood or hiking in the Smokies. If you like to fall asleep with music, switch on the stereo or TV.

The bathroom is located through the bedroom and the vanity is located separately for convenience. Tucked in the closet are a washer and dryer just in case you need an extra change of clothes.

Climb the stairs to the game room where you can challenge the others to a game on the Wii, or in a game of billiards on the beautiful claw footed pool table. Play endless games and get to know each other better and in-between games, bask in the mountain panorama through the seven foot windows or observe from the balcony the living room and kitchen activity. This loft area has a futon for an additional bed.

A visit to Sevier County would not be complete without a visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Places to enjoy in the park are Chimney Tops, Mount LeConte, Newfound Gap, Charlie's Bunion, Clingmans dome, and Smokemont. Just don't feed the bears! The Smokies is home to more than 1600 black bears who love the shelter of the heavily forested park.

While preparing meals in your cabin is economical and time-saving, you will want to eat at some of the fine restaurants in the area such as Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, Alamo Steakhouse and Saloon, Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que just to name a few of the many choices.
